For those of you looking for XJ parts there is indeed a 90's XJ sitting in the auto recycling yard on Post at the Smith Barracks in Baumholder Germany.
I was just up there last week looking at it.
Heres what I can tell you about it.
Its a white two door 90s as far as I can tell. It used to be a Army Vehicle of some sort as there is a army unit logo on the doors.
The entire front clip is gone.
Front windshield is busted.
5 Speed manual tranny is still there but the transfer case is gone as is the rear drive shaft.
The wheels are gone but the spare doughnut tire and wheel along with the vinyl cover is still there.
The rear hatch is still there and looks to be in good condition.
The headliner is gone.
Dash is still there but I think I saw a crack in it near the glove box. Be warned that the factory cassette stereo is there but the harness that hooks it to has been cut off. Also the dash bezel (thats the part around the speedo) is gone. The speedo cluster is there and I think it was in MPH not KMPH...but dont quote me on that. If you need a speedo cluster it is there and will tell you how fast you are going in both speeds.....which is larger.......
Center console is gone.
The front and rear seats are cloth and look to be in pretty good condition. Carpet is there but looked worn in front...in back it looks like you would expect from a 90s vehicle with the original carpet. Plastic trim that touches the carpet in any place all looked to be present.
The front and rear axles are both present but so badly corroded and rusty that you had be damn desperate to want them. Chunks of metal are flaking off of both axles in a major way. I wouldnt take them if they were giving them away for free. I cant say what the axle shafts are like but since its an ex army Jeep it was probably maintained pretty good so the shafts themselves may be good but again anything on that shaft that was exposed to the elements....very flakey rusty and corroded. Ohh and now that I think of it...the front axle shafts are gone but the drive shaft is present....but again very rusty and corroded. Save yourself the hassle and buy a new one.
Radiator and all included parts are gone. Engine block is present as is the intake but the throttle body is gone. Almost everything that could be stripped off the block is gone. I dont even remember seeing anything to go with the fuel delivery system left. Basically all you would be looking at is the block and head.
Other than the windshield all other two door model glass is present and in very good condition....ie no cracks or breaks.
Both front doors are present and in decent condition. White in color. Manual mirrors on both doors along with door handles. Basically everything you need....manual windows and locks btw.
If your looking for a body....this one isnt the one for you. I looked...not that hard btw and saw some rust and corrosion on the underside of this XJ.
Gas tank is present and looks be in decent condition.
When I say front clip is gone that means everything. Both Fenders, bumper lights of all types on the front, antenna, hood....its all gone.
There you go.
If you can think of something that I missed and are looking for something feel free to ask. If you need something small thats still on there I can be pursuaded to make a trip up there to get small things for you. No seats or engines or the like though.
