Well we will add pictures aand other stories as folks roll in. The day for the group that followed me got off to quite the start. I wish I would have taken PIX but picture but picture a Chevy Deisal pulling an 18ft trailer and a cherokee on "roads" that would be comprapible to half the trails. Oh by the way it was one of our newest female members driving. She handled it like a champ. Well after our 70 mile trip turning into almost 3 hours we got there. We got into camp and offloaded the trailers got aired down and figured a trail plan, and started the day. We had 8 rigs, 2 XJ's me in one, Kris in the other, 1 YJ, Brian, 1 new Rubi, and 4 TJ's Ross, and Larry and two other members (I cannot remember all the names). The first trail we started on we lost a cooling line on the YJ. After a quick repair he was going again. We continued on this trail and finished it. We then continued on to our second trail and the YJ stalled an wouldn't restart. We towed him back to the front check shack and parked him and he rode for the rest of the day with Kris in the other XJ. Well at this point we decided to go to the rock garden and watch the group running with petersons Offroad. Well this was a horrible idea. We watched 2 rigs and it took about 30 minutes so we continued on. We now decided to run trail 5 to trail 10, trail 10 is a BFG Sposored Trail. Well as we arrived Ross lost his rear ARB line so he ran open the rest of the day. Running trail 5 to 10 was a pretty awsome trail, we ran 10 about 1/2 way and decided to go eat some free food. Running back to the check in shack was pretty awsome, a few rock gardens.

All in all it was a great day of wheeling with a great group of MJers. My first impressions of the Rusty's LA lift is WOW.

More to follow

Well where should we start..... Fred was late!!! what a BIG surprise...lol... then it took a hour and a half b/c Fred had to air down and disconnect his sway bars. Finally we thought we was about to leave and Fred had to go and change his diaper "he said the baby pooped but we know the truth" but it may have been Larry, he stepped right in to some huge dog crap. Poor Andrea had to smell him all day. So now we are finally did I say finally oh yes we hit the BIG trails I was a blast to see all the smoke from the cooling line.
After we were done with that trail we thought we were headed on another trail but....Fred pooped his pants again.....blaming that poor baby!!! poor Angel!!!!
Ok So as the day got longer and we finally finished up, we ended up seeing a Pig roasted on a huge butt bbq. Oh yes and I bet you won't believe who was the last one to leave and get lost, yep FRED!!! He claimed he found a better way home.
I have to add one more thing Chris the chick kicked butt.....lol.....

Obstacles? I guess it depends on what you define as an obstacles. One of the keys to not getting stuck is continuous forward motion.

Humm dont know about that new route into Jadwin (Flat Nasty). Ans so what a little poo on the shoe helps keep you awake, better than having it in my pants Huh Fred? Shame on you blamming Ryan.

Lets see Andrea and I, Chris and his daughter, Fred and family, Dave and son, Derrick and family, Ross and family, Kris, Brian and I believe that was all.

The day in all was a pretty good ride, seemed each trail beginning had it's unique start. No one mentioned a text book TM recovery usuing tandom recovery vehicles! In other words 2 XJ's pulling a YJ out of a EASY trail lol, of course this was after my TJ dug some good ruts and broke the line anchor bolt off my winch drum (the 1st time it was ever used). The anchor bolt was fixed by Brian and I usuing a adapter post from the FM radio antennea LOL. 92' feet of line spooled back on in a jiffy.

Sorry not many pics but Andrea and I spent the weekend taking turns Yaking on the trail.

Well I wish I had known this all along. The only stuck of the day wasn't even one of our own. Kris got to winch out a 2006 stock Chevy 1500.

All in all we had an easy going fun trail ride

the only other time a strap was used was on the Broke YJ. We strapped him back to the shack for repairs, and then that night I found him on the Saint Robert Exit broke down and strapped him back to his house

Well it was my (Ryan's) poopy diaper that was in your evening fire!!!!

and the "new" route to get there will bercome out warmup run.
I went back lastnight I took K to a stop sign, made a left on Z, the a left on 32, and a right on 72 into Rolla. All 55-60MPH made it home in about 1.5 hours. Thats the way we went last time isn't it Larry?

Sorry couldnt make it, having firing issues. Looks like it was a good trip. I have some questions that you all might be able to help me out with, I was getting my rig ready Friday night and started it up, it was idling and then quit? I tried to start and I am not getting any spark. I have alreadyt replaced the coil, voltage regualator nothing, cranks but does not fire. There is another box beside the volt reg and that is my next step is to replace that. I am not for sure if I have hooked everything back up "correctly" either I put a test light on the volt reg and 3 of the 4 wires shows its getting juice? When cranking they all have power and the box feels warm? I know I am rambling on but in need of some advice on what to do next.
Thanks

More info on the rig would be useful. We had a similar problem with the YJ on the trails. We thought he may have jumped time but it turned out to be a sensor somewhere because when his cooled it started

maybe crank position sensor? Take this to the TECH thread and see. Maybe someone has the same engine and knows more about it.

I would check and make sure you have spark at your plug wires. If you have already replaced your coil. I would say it is your ECM. Or maybe your distributor rotor is worn. Voltage regulator should not prevent it from firing. Not the ECM, Try the Ignition Module. It was early. ECM were installed in the early 80's.

Wish we could have made it. Looks like it was a fun trip. We should have just stayed here and went with you guys, it rained the entire time in Alabama and we didn't bring home any meat. I saw Ross or his wife leaving his driveway last night as we were coming up 17. I tried to blow the horn but I was too busy controlling the trailer that had been driving my Jeep for 11 hours.
