I am starting to email companies asking if they would like to provide something as a door prize. Anyone know of a business that I could email?

Best of luck getting sponsors...I've had a heck of a time. I'm fortunate to have gotten some really good ones, but I missed out on some others that I would have liked to have had. I'm currently shooting for Best Top, but I'm not holding my breath.

Here's the thing to remember when trying to get sponsors...it's not what you know, but who you know that matters. Before wasting your time sending emails to their customer service department or whatever general email listed on their website, try to find out who makes the decision to grant sponsorship and then email them directly. This way your request is less likely to be thrown in the circular file or dismissed out of hand.

I threw a call out to one of my vendors, Cheif Supply, to see if I can get my hands on something. They carry mostly police and medical supplies but they do have some tactical as well. As soon as my rep gets back from vacation, next day or so, I'll see if I can make something happen.

How about ORI... They're based out of Winchester, VA and are a big sponsor over on Nova Jeepers.

I just got off the phone with my account rep for Checker Auto Parts, who is part of O'Riely's, and he is going to shoot some emails and make some calls to see if he can score some swag for the meet and greet. When I hear back from him I'll let evryone know. He said there is a good chance he'll be able to get something since O'Riely's is pretty big on that sort of thing.

If you want I can check out the USO headquarters on Belvoir. Since it is military affiliated after all. If nothing else I'm pretty sure they can steer me towards other Military friendly sponsors.

I updated the sponsors information on http://www.campmj.com to reflect the most recent information I have.

I also added something on that page that says:
Rausch Creek Off-Road Park is open for normal business operations during the time that Camp MJ will be held, but please be respectful and allow us to keep attendance to this specific event a Military Jeepers Members Only event.

Dont know if it is too late or not, but try eastern offroad in Norfolk VA. When i was down there last week purchasing my tires and wheels, I told them about militaryjeepers.com and the need for sponsors at events, and they seemed good to go with it. There website is linking at the bottom of this page... I believe the owner is named Mike, and the associate i worked with was Chad....

Hope this helps
