Howdy all. Army here, '85 - '92. MOS 33M

I raise my glass to all of you. Okay, now you should hide the booze.:)

I've been working for the railroad since '97. The hours are a lot like the military. In fact, there are many similarities. There's a lot of bitching and complaining, there's always some sort of crisis, a lot of waiting around, and the wrong person always seems to be in charge. But it's all better on payday.

I miss being a soldier. The thing I miss the most is the cameraderie and trust that you have in the person that watches over you as you sleep. Owning a CJ is a pleasant reminder of that cameraderie.


So enough of this introduction. Hello to all of y'all wearing green or blue. I'm looking forward to meeting y'all.

I was INSCOM from 87 -92 with the exception of a little stop over in Warrington, VA for a year when I was at Vint Hill Farms. I lived in Manassas at the time.

Vint Hill Farms!! You know that's an over priced neighberhood now with the FAA mid Atlantic Potomac Approach facility. That was the first fire dept I worked for after the Corps. I miss that place.

And it's Warrenton Soliderboy. No ING in it. lol

Thanks, you are most definitely correct. I make that mistake often because I work on Warrington Street here in Jacksonville. I'm so used to writing Warrington for my work address that I don't think about spelling it any other way.
