I put it on the calander, I posted washita 21-22 on OJT you can put this one up there also maybe we can get a few more.
Also I created an account on Ozark Mountain 4x4, our trail guide is from them.
Looks like we have something about every weekend this month. I can't do them all. We can't afford that.

For those going up just Sat We will meet in the camping area at 0800-0830 to unload, air down, disconnect and what not. We can be rolling on the trails by 0900. I WANT part of trail 18 and I want to run Trail 5 with the Black trails off it
Who is camping? I would like to camp Friday and Saturday nights, but I have to see if my school is going to honor spring break for us this time. Otherwise I will have class Friday night until 2000 and will just be able to camp Saturday night.
Where are the convoys leaving from? I really like taking 17 to 32 to Salem.
The route I have taken was Rolla 72 the Z then ZZ but whatever. We can meet at McDs in St Robert

If you want to go that way come to my place. We will go through Houston, Raymondville and over the river and trough the woods. Unless we get heavy rains and the rivers flood out the roads this is quicker than taking the 17 to Salem. If it is flooded than take the 17 to 32 through licking down to Montauk (Fred has difficulties with this route) to flat and nasty. There are roads to get up there quick that don't show up on some maps and mapping programs.

I will be driving through post to meet up with Ross to head over to Flat Nasty Saturday morning. I think Fred will be doing the same. You are welcome to meet us somewhere on post and head over with us.
I just looked at your Jeep again and realized that we swapped Jeep waves at the light by Arby's the other day.
Hey Eric. I am Fred I put the info on your jeep on post and Saw you at the CS Chamber. Be looking forward to seeing you out there.
Again guys. 0830 at the camping area

I talked to Ross and I am going through Rolla due to towing.
Yeahyuh! Ok like i said im sad the wife cant come but ill meet with you guys on post! ^_^ Are we doin a one dayer or campin? Im prolly more prone to just doin a one dayer unless i break my trac bar again lol... Well definately sounds good guys gimme a place on post and a CB channel so i can hook mine back up.

Lets meet at 0645 in the Burger King Parking lot. That should put us at Ross's at about 0730 and gives us an hour to make it to Flat Nasty and meet everyone else in the camp ground at 0830.
I just looked at the weather and I think I will just be staying for the day and into the evening and coming home. If the weather seems like it will improve I may camp, but 35 is too cold for my son to be in a tent still.
CB Channel 4
I will be in a Black TJ Rubicon
We do CH 4 and once in the park we will meet in the camping area.
IF anyone wants to meet me I will be at the road ranger truck stop 0645 giving me almost 2 hours to fuel and get there, unload, and do all the stuff I gotta do.

And might i add he drives a JK, MUst be all those dange deployments we go on or we are jsut crazy for tearing up such a new vehicle.
:p True indeed i get alot of people coming up to me either happy or surprised that im wheelin a JK. Dont worry no need to exterminate me unless you feel like not fulfilling your obligation to the Army lol.:)
Fred-XJ, 35's, one locker
Larry & Andrea- TJ, 33's, the miracle D35
Jacob & Jordan-Stock Rubi
Ross & Dakota- TJ, Locked, 35's
Eric- JK, 33's, ? Lockers
A bunch from Midwest Jeep Thing- mixed and matched
3-4 from Itsajeep.org- one YJ on 35's locked; one XJ, 35's, locked; one TJ on 35's; one buggy on 38's
Wow I think I smell 2 groups
No sadly enough im not locked... And thats for one reason... My XJ i used to have was locked and i broke a few lunch box lockers on it to find that only the Aussie locker satisfied me... So I went to buy an Aussie Locker for my JK and it says "purchase at your own risk this item has not been tested on the new JK. so i said no thank you ill wait... Its open for now but ive been known to get frisky on the FN black diamond trails... It gets scary. So dont worry no ones gonna be able to leave me behind ^_^
We ran most of the black trails there in Larry's TJ open with no real problems. We have never left a fallen comrade and won't start now.
ROSS YOU GOING TO HIT 18 with me? I am at least going to hit parts of it as long as I have a spotter and someone to run with me. I also for sure want to hit 5 and 7,11,9 off 5 I think those are the ones anyway
Ive hit every trail in flat nasty except for the Black diamonds... Ive played around on the Black dimamonds and have tried to go as far as i could lol... Like on get it billy and what not. The BFG goodrich trail is good and if you go far enough on the trail thats kind of like a creek behind the camping area... thats the roughest besides the black diamonds.
We need to work out an itinerary of trails:
If we are meeting at the camping area whats the plan?
Maybe Trail 4 over to 6 and right on 12, then onto 5.
we can run 5 go up 9 down 8 up 7 back down 7 and finish 5. We can take the red trail over toward the camping area and if some choose to we can play on 18
Heres a trail map:
http://www.flatnasty.net/Flatnasty_Offroad_Park/Rons_Rigs_files/Trail_Map.jpg
Have you ever played on 10 9 8 & 7... Some of those are damn near impossible... im down shoot ill do what i can damage or not.

He's gonna fit in well LOL. famous words Ive heard a few times lately
"Hell, it's not my Jeep"
"I aint stuck!"
"It's just a scratch."
And NOW we Hear
im down shoot ill do what i can damage or not.
LOL
We ran all of the black trails off 5. 10, 9, 8, and 7. We didn't run Get it Billy because we were facing the wrong way. They are very fun trails. We also did all but 100 yards of 16A, a short part of 18, all of 5, most of 10. We have run about every trail in that park.
Larry he may earn the squeegie first trip out
Ghost00TJ
03-24-2009, 22:26
we all chickened out of going down 6A's entrance:D
Lol well this is good im looking froward to meeting you guys! Well first of all whats the squeegie? Dang right ima earn... not because im cocky or because i got a hard core rig... but simply because im young and naïve  Lol I woulda baught a Toyota Priest if i didnt want to play with my toy.

New Club "Carnage" Award (http://www.militaryjeepers.com/chapter/flw/news/new-club-carnage-award.shtml)
Well for those who attended the Wheelers for the Wounded trip 21 Feb 2009 you will remember it snowed and I had no windshield wipers. Well early in the day I "aquired" a windshield Squeegy. We decided early on this had to stay in the club so it has been dubbed the Carnage award. The rules for this award are simple. The one who achieves the max ammount of Carnage takes home the carnage award. They will return it to the next wheeling trip and hand it off to the next awardee. Any marking to personalize the squeegy to notate you had earned it is acceptable just do not destroy it. Lets keep this going for years to come
Rules for the award:
1. Current reciepiant will bring it to the next chapter event for transfer if earned.
2. Each reciepiant will add his/her name to the plaque.
3. Owner will add a picture of the award to his/her new avitar while they own it.
These help you earn it, JK almost won it in V notch
Lol thats pretty funny, i know i would have been in the running a couple times so far... before i had my full skids i pinched the exhaust shut across the crossmember and the last time i went to FN i busted the welds on my trac bar bracket and had tp have ron weld it back until i limpesd home for a real weld job... Now i hope we get a welder somewhere near by because i have a feeling my rear trac bar might feel a little left out if you know what i mean. :D Anyway thanks for sharing the pics and story its pretty hilarious lol.
We can bring a welder but we would need somewhere to plug it in
WOOT! nice ok ron will let us plug into his shop by his cabin! That would be awesome just in case! Hes got a suitcase welder in his shop and a gas one but last time they were so off we could barely get tacs out of em.
I'll throw the welder in the truck then.......anything else we shoudl bring?

03-26-2009, 13:38
Hummmmm sounds like maybe a great and expensive weekend LOL
Last Smorr trip was only $80 in parts (tie rod and stuff)
I loaded up today so jeep and trailer is ready. I will load welder and tools tomorrow and will be ready to go early Sat
Alright sounds good! Let me know if there is anything i should bring my list O' tools is on my signature but if anything else like hmm i dont know entrnece fee for bringing ur welder let me know! I brought the Heep to sky line welding today since i dont know how to mig weld and he beefed up the rear trac bar bracket for 25$. Im exited just wish the wife could come believe it or not. The only time she came was when the front btacket welds broke and the run got cut short... Im ready to go myself not much to pack but im ready! So again ill meet you at the Road Ranger at 6:30 Fred!:beer:
If you want to pay my entrance fee for bringing a welder by all means feel free......Should have called me we could have welded up your rear trackbar mount. Larry will have his Genny but it won't run more than his camper. I will bring my complete tool box but most of them stay in the truck. As for doors you are welcome to take them off and leave them on my trailer if you want to. I will also be bringing my big floor jack and a few jack stands. and my typical trail tools
i will be closer to 645 but I'll see you there. I am bringing one of my dogs too. He is my younger one and this is his first wheeling trip so I hope he does good.
Ghost00TJ

Sounds like you guys are going to have a blast. Sounds like the wheather will be pretty crappy wish i could be there to share in the fun.
Oh Fred you may want to see if Road ranger has a squeegy to let you aquire for the trail ride that day. Other wise you wont be to see where you driving. I dont think that will matter to you since you will just push the skinny pedal on the right anyway.
Wipers on the dodge work fine...LOL....Jacob is bringing his electronis toolbox so during downtime we are going to take it apart and diagnose a little further
Woo hoo! alright guys it all sounds good i am no longer 99% but 100% good to go. there was a possibility of me not being able to go so i could do secuirty for that cage of honor event on post...BUT i suckered... i mean persuaded someone else to do it since i was told after these plans. :D:) Man you are too kind, but shoot sounds good i just might wanna drop at least my driver side door on your trailer... i cant drive without seein them tires anymore...
You can put both and I have chain just need a padlock and you can chain them to the deck. I have everything loaded except the jack/stands. Larry is loaded and just went to get his kids he should be on the way soon

I have a cable I use for our doors and genny, got it at wal mart for like $8.
We are out of here!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! See you all later
Yeah ill see you guys soon i got a cable with a padlock that locks all my tools in the back of the jeep too. See you in the morning or the trip was fun depends when u read this lol.
Its 605 I am out of here in about 20 minutes. See you guys on the trails.
For our guys coming if you have not left yet and read this, there is a group there from IN and they broke a CJ leaf spring so if you have a CJ leaf laying around or at least a main they need one
Long fun day. Thanks to all that showed up. Jordan and I had a blast. I will post what little pics that I have in the new thread that Fred starts with his writeup. I didn't get too many pics, I was having too much fun to stop most of the time. Poor Larry and Ross spent the better part of the day being awsome wheelers. They recovered a guy that was not even in our group who was in a LWB full size Chevy that broke a front locking hub on a black trail and couldn't make it out on his own or with the help of his own group. Good job guys.
I will do a write up in a while. It was a fun day but not a great day. Like Jacob Said LArry and Ross only wheeled 1/2 day. As we were leaving Martin and I ran almost all of trail 18 which is pretty extreme for a couple of XJ's then on the way back to camp I used my stupid button. I ran through a puddle at about 30-40 and flodded the XJ out. A short tow back to camp I loaded up and went home. Well NOT thinking at all I decided I would go drop the trailer. I pulled into LArrys yard and as I started to back up the truck sank. I unhooked the trailer and tryied to drive out to no avail. I called my wife and left it sit. I will call Larry when he gets home and WE will have to see if I can get the jeep running. I will hook the trailer back up, unload the jeep and between two winches we will recover the truck and park the trailer. Good thing is it only need to go about 20 feet
We want pictures of your truck stuck in Larry's yard.
Ghost00TJ
03-29-2009, 19:13
We want pictures of your truck stuck in Larry's yard.
Dont need pics, there are 2 long deep trenches where the week dodge used to sink...I mean sit.
It and trailer both was pulled out by a ...yes wrangler!
A wrangler with a 10,000lb winch. Recovery went well. My jeep is throwing 3 codes though so It will be a little bit till it will run again
Ghost00TJ
03-29-2009, 21:36
oh yea and a 10k winch LOL. :D It did come out much better than i thought also, alot better than pulling a chevy!
The ole Smitty Built winch got a workout this weekend I don't know about when hauling the Chevy around but when you pulled my junk and yourown it never bat an eye
