Just wondering what everyone is running. Im thinking of going to a bias ply only because the tire im looking at, in the size im looking at only comes in bias. pros and cons?

I have 33" X 12.50 radials. If I remember right, bias can be difficult to balance for on road use.

DOn't radials have weak ass side walls?
trade offs either way. Bias wear faster and are a rougher ride on the road, but are tough on the trail. Radials are smoother on the road and typically wear better, but as mentioned have side wall weakness. I speared a side wall on one of my Swamper SSRs and it has to be replaced. So it really depends on what you use your rig for most.

If you drive it on the road radials all the way. My roommate had bias on his TJ, they took a few miles to warm up and never really balanced out, even with beads.
Yeah if its on the road radials but if its just to the trail and back then bias plys

Thanks guys that was the kind of info I was looking for. I remember way back when that the bias sitting for a while would flat spot, it just took a few miles to warm up and they were ok.
^ yes, they will flat spot. Ok is a subjective thing!
Have had to drive a military humvee on the interstate many times after it had sat for a couple of months with the old bias plies...Shake your teeth out for about 4 miles with the flatspotting!!:D Definitely radials for a DD.....

Ditto.. If it is your DD on hardball, radials are the answer. If it's your trail only vehicle, bias baby, bias.
Been doing some tire research myself in the tech forum under "Parnelli Jones Dirt Grips or SSRs" and there is a ton of good info there too.......I am going with the Interco TrXus MTs as of right now when I get home.....In a 35 12.50.......
