How about a meet and greet in the Northern VA area?

I see a bunch of us are from Northern Virginia and it would be cool to get together. Maybe we can do a meet and greet type thing sometime, hopefully after I get my drive shaft in.

I know if we all put our heads together we can choose a date / time where everyone can attend.

If someone has not been to a meet and greet before, it is basically a chance for a group of jeepers to get together, maybe at a restaurant, and just meet each other face to face, chat about stuff and eat some grub. It is pretty informal.

I know I see about 8 jeeps in my small military neighborhood. If I knew a date and time I am not beyond knocking on their doors and telling them about it. I think at least 4 have some sort of lift installed.

I know I would go if I did'nt live so far away, thats what I miss about being in the army. maybe this summer me and the wife minus the kids(2) well come down and meet everyone

Sounds good to me, always nice to put some faces to the folks you talk with online, can we go to a place that has Beer? Beer good, Beer friend...wife not like beer, Jeep friends usually like beer, of course, in moderation. Make it on a evening when we most likely won't need to be up too early the next day, that way we can hang out and shoot the breeze a bit?

Well, part was on backorder, then I guess someone boogered the order up and ordered the wrong part. The new part should be in tomorrow, then it should all be done by tomorrow night.

I still have some stuff that I need to do to it at the auto shop, so I am really hoping that I can have it tomorrow and then secure a bay early on Saturday to get the work done.

Right on. I'd love to go and help, but Saturday will be the first day I've been able to see Jen in almost two weeks and we both have to work Sunday, so you know what I'm doing...

If you have it, can you shoot it to me in a PM? If the jeep can be picked up Friday, I want to see if he will be there Saturday if I go to work on it just incase. I should be fine, everything is pretty much a one man job with the exception of the gas tank skid...I may need him to help lift it in place.

I'd probably use the transmission jack like we used on the axles. That'd probably be perfect for it. I'll get the phone number to you.

I picked up the jeep tonight. Tomorrow I should be putting on the gas tank skid plate, the engine skid, the LCA skids and also mess with my motor mount lift.

I know that Beltway has a M&G tomorrow night, but it is west of the Beltway. I am down for any time other than the 6th through the 9th because I will be at a conference at good ol' Fort Bliss.

I say have a Meet & Greet at Famous Dave's BBQ on the Prince William Parkway... a few of us were there not too long ago. Plenty of parking. Smack dab in between Belvoir and Quantico plus great food too.
