Lifted again... do i need to extend my rear sway connects?

I forgot after I put another 1" on. I am still running my stock rear sway bar connects and it is TIGHT. Probably elevated up around 5" touching the rear brake lines (97TJ). Should I have my neighbor cut and weld extensions or can I drive this thing s few dsys until I get in a factory set?

i would think you could drive it on road just don't try to flex it, if it's hooked up and your jeep is sitting level and you rear axle is centered you should be ok

Just as Josh said, it's good for a few days. Before you go wheeling though...

Jeep is level (god knows how) and axle stayed centered. Won't be wheeling anytime soon, plan on completing this build up by the end of March. Next up.... new shoes, gears, and undoubtedly something else expensive.

If you still have the stock links on the rear, they are made of plastic.

I bought the USMC E-9 Model 97TJ which came with steel swaybar links in the rear. I believe the plastic link option was available only near Army bases as JEEP figured they probably wouldn't have the strength tobreak the plastic ones anyway. SEMPER FI ( I am just kidding of course, love you guys and gals in the Army, served with some outstanding troopers overseas)

Yeah, the wrench start and pull start along with the axle brake, distroying the frt driveshaft in mine and a ton of water in my frt diff........ naw, we dont wheel hard huh? ( just kidding of course )
