Can anybody come over on Sunday (4/5) to help me peel off my old flywheel of my CJ? I need to go and buy the new flywheel and clutch, but I want to get the old one off now.

Yeah, I can probably make it over. Only flywheel experience I have is on Toyotas though, but it cant be that much different.

We just need to get the six bolts off. With a little brute force and ignorance it will go. I have PB Blastered the hell out of them and I will be picking up a 2 ft breaker bar and a 2x4 before then to lock the flywheel in place.:mad:

getting to stay put can be a pita, we used screw drivers through one of the holes so the bell housing would hold it while you wrench.

I read somewhere that a couple models out there had reverse threads? Cant remeber which ones ...

I have to back out of my offer. I am going to be at Flat Nasty again this weekend. I am doing a Poker Run with OFO and then being a trail guide for the night runs at Moon in the Boonies. I won't get back until late Sunday.

Now that would be a fun show. You and Fred with a tractor...what will they think of next? Is the carnage award up for grabs while you two are at it with a tractor?
