Well, I figured since we're already overhauling my powerplant and my axles, I figured I would go ahead and do a project that I have been thinking about for the last 3 years: putting a flat dash in my TJ. I haven't gotten past the planning and idea stage yet, but I will be starting next week. I will post pics from start to finish to that others can maybe use it for their own later.
On a side note, all of my stock '04 TJ dash parts are coming out to include the steering wheel, air bags and trim pieces. If someone is looking for something or the whole dash, let me know.

Going for a look kinda of like this one but with an MVC twist...

I don't plan to tie the dash into my cage. Just looking to design something unique. I've always loved the CJ-ish dash look.

It's the dark charcoal grey. Make me an offer. I'm pulling everything except the steering column out.

I have couple of CJs. I just want to do something CJ-ish in my TJ. One the biggest things I haven't liked about my TJ since I bought it was all of the plastic in the interior.
Everyone has seen a TJ dash, so I didn't bother taking pics of if before we started taking it apart. This afternoon we managed to get all of the stock dash out, the structure out and the heater ducts out. With the stock TJ dash out, you gain almost 4"s of space. I will take some pics tomorrow and post them up.

Here is what we have with the flat dash so far. I still need to cut the notch around my stock column a little larger.
Here's the cardboard mock-up...

Dude I need the little coin tray on top of the dash. Been looking for one for a couple years. PO put this monster gauge cluster in it. So gay I pulled that and now I cannot find the stock coin tray.

What are you going to do about the heating vents? That's one of the issues that's keeping me from making one for my YJ.
