I have only been here a few months, but would be happy to answer questions based on my limited knowledge.

Been here for many years. Most of my time was with the 82nd. 3/325 abn inf. Instucted pncoc/recondo for 2 years, way back when. 4 wheeling is great at Uwharrie National Forest about 2 1/2 hours west of here. Cost $5.00 for a day pass. Close to Badden lake. Camping, fishing, hunting, and small arms range. Look it up and you will get an idea of how far and what's it's like. You can also get a season pass. Go to the cost about another 2 1/2 hours to Ft.Fisher and a few other beachs close by and drive on the beach. You will need 4 wheels.:)

I've only been here since early 06, but I know the area pretty well all things considered. Any specific questions you've got, feel free to ask. The city has a pretty poor reputation, but if you know good people and live in a good area, its what you make of it. I personally love the location - just some of the trashy people make living here annoying.
