View Full Version : Meet and Greet
Hey all it's been a while since we had a meet and greet and we have a lot of new members in the Ft Wood area. How about we scedule a meet and greet for May 9th. Thats the second Sat in May. I don't think we have any rides planned any time soon so just a meet and greet would be cool. I propose we do a Barbaque Down by the River like we did last time. We can sit around hang out, fish if someone wants to, get wet if it's warm enough. Just go down and have a good time. We can bring a couple grills and everyone chip in some food/drinks. At least this time it won't be wet from snow!!!
If anyone is interested and able to some can camp out there friday night and svae us some space. How does Lunch Sat sound to all?

You read my mind and I might ACTUALLY be able to make this. I will be home on R&R for most of May. My Jeep isn't even close to driveable right now but I can always use the silverado and the pop up. I'll let you know for sure when it gets closer. Pretty hard to plan out the days on R&R. Where at exactly though? Let me know more details and I can give you a definate answer when the time gets closer.

Really dam i thought the BBQ we had at my house was a Meet and Greet. LOL I will be able to come in the afternnoon possible. That the last weekend for turkey hunting so up to noon each day Im hunting.
Ok I wasn't thinking of your house because most of the expenses fell on you.
Bump for our newest members
So are we making the meet and greet the same as the meeting for the show and shine on friday?

PM sent to you Newevo
I would like to attend..Where on the river and what time?:beer::beer::beer::beer::beer:
We have not set this in stone yet. But the dinner this Fri is at Ruby Tuesdays. Wehre we are talking about down by the river is down by devils elbow.
What time do you meet at Ruby Tuesday's? I think the wife and I would like to attend.
The Ruby Tuesdays thing isn't the Meet and Greet per say, it is for planning parts of the Show and Shine but we are looking at 630ish. Table big enough for about 10-15
The M&G BBQ will be next weekend down by the river next weekend

Alright a pretty good meet, I think. A few more new faces, and some real good ideas out for prospect. Randall, Chad, Brian, Ericks wife, and Bruces wife.
Chad has written down some things, but some highlites I like are;
-Joining St Robert Chamber of Commerce as Military Jeepers FLWChapter. that gets us in good with the town and local businesses. but cost $
- Holding the S&S at a local business, and it seemed Pauls Furniture parking lot had some interest.
-Bring a grill to the S&S to sale or accrue donations from food.
- Coordinate with Red Cross and have somethng like a Mud for Blood but with a S&S instead of a trail run.
-Look into borrowing or building an RTI ramp.
- T-shirts and waiting on some quotes from vendors (we could sell some at the S&S)
- Stickers Fred has well under way, (could sell those at S&S also)
- And of course little Ryan said Jeep Jeep:D
Wonder id we could actually bring in some big arse rocks lol
thats my $.02 I'm sure there was more.
Thanks all who came and my pleasure to meet you all, look forward to seeing you all again.
Larry
I should be able to get a few extra sticker stickers and we can sell at S&S. For every 5 I think I can get one free.
I contacted the Chamber of Commerce today..The dues for a not for profit organization is $42.00 per year. The year starts in Aug so to prorate for the remainder of the year is $14.00. I will be glad to get us signed up and take care of the cost for the rest of this year..any objections or concerns?

I'd say go for it, I'll split cost with you or buy you a couple beers/sodas and some BBQ at the house.
Next years $42 we can muster up from a copuple events I think.
So I second the motion to sign up for the COC
Git ir Done! Do we have to pay in Aug for 2010 Year? We can scrounge a few dollars from donations at S&S, we can mark up TShirts sales $1 each and when the next sticker order goes through I will round to the next dollar and between the three we should be able to curb any expenses
count me in for the meet and greet. As for the shine and show, we'll see if I can get the Jeep clean and keep it for more than an Hour.
The $40 will be due in August. Whose name and phone number do you want me to put down as the POC. This will be published in the yearly CoC booklet. I think two names are the max.

I would definately say Larry. Not only is he stationary, he puts a hell of a lot of effort into FLWMJ.
yep most of us will eventually part ways with the Chapter but LArry is in for life

dont think we camp either, but beer and BBQ are always a crowd pleaser
Maybe Randal should be the second name on the coc? If there is a 2 name max why not have 2 names?
Randal is fine too especially since he is a permante fixture to Saint Robert
