:)The rest of the Volant system I orderd showed up yesterday, so, of course any plans for today were canceled for the install! First is that the Volant system is very high quality, it wasn't cheap and I sorta see why. It wasn't too difficult to install, the only difficulty I had was at the point when you set the interior downtube inside the fender. You have to put the connector flex hose on, and jam it all up in there, what screws that up is that the fender flare bolts will catch on it (take the one out 'fore you try), making it a bear to get it up to the hole in the fender without screwing up the hose. I screwed up somehow and mis-aligned the template by about 1/8-1/4", and had to jury rig a way to re-cut the fender with my hole saw, involving a jack and two boards inside the fender, but it worked, the exterior tube covers my gaff completely. Access to the clamps on the joint inside the fender is minimal to none, so if you put one on your Jeep, tighten the "interior" of the two clamps all the way, and put the clamp for the exterior tube on with the nut head facing down to access, snug enough so it doesn't twist away when you join the two tubes and tighten it, before you insert the interior tube in the fender, no other way to do it that I could find. Since my beastie isn't gonna be very tall for quite some time to come, protection mods like this will be the course. Next up, Diff covers!:)
