I loved rausch creek and it was a blast, but I thought the idea was to rotate it around the country?

Or we could just go to RC several times a year for those of us closer. Also up for GWNF this year.

Don't forget URE down in NC.
Go camping out at Badin Lake and wheel in the mountains.

I don't care about location. As for date, can we shoot for early summer? I'll be out of school and can drive anywhere. I don't care where we go.

Late Spring, Early Summer would be good timing. Late Summer, Early Fall there are usually more events planned and we wouldn't have to compete as much for dates.

How's Crozet? Anyone here been to Uwharrie(spelling)? We need to get this going. If this is going to be a regional thing and not east coast thing, let me know. I'm going to try and get one located in "central east coast" so that we can have max participation.

Does this answer your question :rolleyes:;

This is the start to 'Dickey Bell trail - moderate'

Notice the Discovery behind me.....my sweetie kept on saying "You had better not let that Land Rover out do us!" :D

My friend lunched his engine on the 'Fall's Dam trail' in the mud hole (no pics). I've only done the easy, moderate stuff their. Due to the fact that at that time I had no locker, winch and limited recovery gear.
There is a $5 a day pass required, local campgrounds, or you can camp in the Forest also. The pistol/rifle range is open, but it requires an additional fee of $3 a person shooting purchased at Eldorado Trading Post (located just outside the entrance to the forest).
If you have anymore questions - I'll try to answer them. I also have more pics if interested.
Later, T.J.
