OK so we have pretty much decided this is gong to happen. lets say 3PM at "Stone Henge" down by Devils Elbow. We can meet at Road Ranger at noonish and head that way. There is some light wheeing down there. I say light but the trail down there is a little hairy so anything other than a jeep isn't recommended. Copy the list and add your name and what you will bring.

now when you say "stone henge " your talking about the foundation with the 2 chimneys and the bridge over the creek right next to the Big piney river? or bussmans river resort as it once was?
i might be able to go after all but i wont know till Thursday or Friday

yea that was the old "bussmans" resort there were tennis courts and cabins and all kinds of cool stuff there back in the 50's and 60's

I would love to be there, but my Toy is not feeling very well. It's broke :(
Frankly any 4wd could get back there and if we do have people W/O a rig that can get back there we have an alt location or two that anything can get to so don't let no jeep keep you away

i wont know for sure if i will be able to come till Friday but if i do i can bring some GB (ground beef or burger as commonly called ) and some buns from the store
my grill is too big to load and take down other wise i would
I plan on comming there with the wife. Paul & Teena.
Not sure what we will bring. How about something to eat off of? Paper plates and some plasticware. And of course something in a cooler.:beer:

Is any one bringing a fishing pole and a few worms? I don't have a Liscense but I don't think the Game warden would come to wehre we are going to be. Still I won't chance

i know that mot the trails by the river are under water.. the big-P is over J-highway by 10 feet in some places.

Fred and I just got back from checking the river depth, and it is not too aweful high. It might go up some before tomorrow after more runoff hits it, but I don't think it will be flooded where we are going.
Weather man on TV just said NO RAIN tomorrow.
If the rain stays away then we can still do it. I'm looking forward to this.
We'll be there with our fishing poles. And we have our licenses:p
I love to fish, but I probably will not bring poles. The water will be high and muddy and the fish probably won't be biting.

I have some plates here I will bring a handful if you (Mavac) can grab Kethup, mutard and Mayo (condiments)
Is everyone else still coming? I think Jacobs grill is the only one we have so if someone else has a little grill they can bring that'd be cool.
I should be at the Road Ranger around 12 but if not go without me as I know where we are going. CB's will be on 28 (I think that the channel we decided as a chapter channel)

Never been there so I need to meet with someone that knows where we are going.

so is this officially called off? Also just to let everyone know, we are a bonafide member of the Chamber Of Commerce....Also they want us to come down in our jeeps and take a "Ribbon Cutting" photograph for the paper. More to follow, but start thinking about when we can get together for the photo.
We are still planning on going! I know Larry backed out due to weather and jeep issues, But Jacob and I went and scoped out the river today and it isn't real high so we should not have any problems.
I'll meet you at Road Ranger, noon. I don't know exactly where we are going so I'll need to follow someone in.
Its all easy cept for one spot CAN be hairy. Noones jeep should have a hard time getting in though. And best part is that whole area has a few good play spots

Just got home from riding 4wheelers down by the Big Piney where we went today Fred, and I am sad to say that the river is FLOODED! It is well up past where we saw the guys fishing today. That whole area is under about 5 feet of water. I can go down in the morning and give a better report to see if it went down any. It may not have gotten high enough to flood the area that we are going to, but it will be close. If it goes down any decent amount, we should still be good. I say we still meet up and if we get there and it is flooded, we can just find a different spot. It definately is not high enough to where we can't go down the trail and have some fun though.
