Hey guys, my club, the North Shore Wheelers 4X4's, hosts the annual Open House at Minnesota's only OHV park.

The day is free, no permit required, just need to pass the noise level check of 98 decibles. Any rigs welcome, stock to buggies.

We do 2 trailrides, provide lunch and give a short (under 5 minutes) presentation on safe and responsible wheeling.

There are hotels nearby and a campground with trail access to the park, nice for trailered rigs.

This year's open house is Saturday, May 17th, from 9am until sunset.

Here's a link to the website: http://www.ironrange.org/recreation/atv-ohv/ohv-park/

Shoot me a pm if you' d like more info. Thanks, Randy

Well, there's not a lot of MJ'ers in this area yet.:( My club is gettin ready for the open house next weekend, I'll post up some pics after. It's mainly for people new to the park, which also means people new to off roading:) should be some great pics:D

Not sure If I'm guiding the easy or medium trail runs this year, depends on how many people show for each class. I may get to tailgun for the hard core run, now that I have lockers on both ends.

We have contacted darn near every jeep / off road club in the United States asking if they would link to Military Jeepers. Only a handful have added a link. I know a lot of clubs have a links page, but I don't know why they won't link to us. I even went so far as to divide the clubs on the Jeep Club Info pages into clubs that link to us and those that don't. Maybe some more clubs out by you will link to MJ in the future and more folks will join up.

I know I am heading to fort Hood at the end of this year and I figured there would be a whole bunch of people from down that way so I could just fall into a good local jeep club, but not as many have joined as I thought would.

Here is the club page for California (http://www.militaryjeepers.com/content/jeep_clubs/california-jeep-clubs.shtml), it shows how they are split up. Tonight, before heading over to the SS Yeti to help bail out water, I emailed over 100 clubs, some for the second time since this site went online.

Yeah, I talked to my club. We only have 20 members, and 150 or so forum users. We had a poll/vote about links to other sites/forums (becuase the admin gets quite a few) unfortuneatly, general consensus was 'no' to any links. (that may change, as our club/site grows)

I do have it in my sig line though, and have 'chased down' a couple Jeeps with military emblems on them. We'll get the word spread!

All thats here is some small reserve units, and some Coasties. Do we have any MJ flyers I can print out? I bet I could put one up at the BX.:D

And next time I'm at the VA hospital in the Twin Cities, I'll spread the word!

Our open house was a great success! We had 67 Jeeps/OHV's attend. Got to show a lot of folks the park, and introduce some to responsible wheeling! The weather could have been better, but we had fun anyway! Here are some pics/vids.
