Let us all take a moment and remember those who have given their lives in the service of our country, for we know better than most that the freedoms we all enjoy have not been free. These freedoms have been paid for in blood, the blood spilled by true American heros. God bless you all and thank you. You will always be remembered.

Its sad that some people only remember them once a year. and even worse that others just use their day just as a day to party.

I couldn't agree more. My daughter, who is 12, was just excited that it was a day off from school. After I explained to her what Memorial Day is all about she had a different outlook. I even heard her explaining it to her friends when she was on the phone.
