After talking with three parts stores and one dealership, they're saying that I can't just get the AC compressor pully and/or clutch by itself. The stealership and the auto parts stores that CAN get it says it costs around 450 smackaroos. (*@#$Y&(#@*&%#@4 Whatever, I'd rather just let it run loud. Not like I ever use the ac anyway.

What exact part is the compressor. Ask Pacifier if he has the compressor you need on one of the Jeeps he is working on/parting out.

squaring it away now. It's probably going to get the bypass route for now though. Tired of hearing it. 30 dollars to make it go away for the time being.

Find a rebuild shop locally and get a clutch. You should be able to get one for about $50 or $60.
If you can't find one, get me the EXACT model number off the compressor and I'll get one from my suppliers and we can work out the payment/shipping.

So I fixed, well covered, the problem this weekend. Went with the bypass route seeing as how the top comes off tomorrow for the summer anyway (pending brown bus delivering). Between the fan clutch replacement and bypassing the AC pulley, it made the jeep damn near silent. I didn't realize how LOUD it had gotten. There was a few times I stopped at a light and thought it turned off.

BTW, for those that may need to do this, a belt from a 97-02 TJ is money.

Chris, did you call my friend at FFX autoparts? He supports dealership shops etc and might be able to get you what you need...?

The price is outrageous. The only other way to go is re manufactured, but that's still a couple hundred. Screw it...top's off tomorrow.
