View Full Version : 02 July, Central Texas Jeep Night at Pluckers in Killeen
The first Central Texas Jeep night was pretty cool. In the end, about 80 Jeeps showed up. I really think it far surpassed Freedom Jeep's expectations for the first event.
Jack Hammer did a good job MC'ing the event and he wore an MJ hat (a plus in my book)
The Central Texas Jeep Night is held the first Thursday of each month, so the next one should be 02 July.
We plan on attending and there were a bunch of other folks from Military Jeepers at the last one. Word of advice, get there before the 1800 start time to get a good parking spot.
If you plan on attending, post up so we can keep a list. We may be able to get designated parking spots if we can give them a good head count.

got a call reference the central texas jeep night. Should be a good time. If you now anyone with a jeep, let them know about it. 1800 on 02 July at Pluckers. If you want a good parking spot, get there a little earlier.
Man i am missing all the good stuff, I got about 40 days left here in Korea and i hope there is some stuff going on in Aug when i get back. Cant wait to meet you all.
Man, I would sure like to be there but that is a Thursday. Too far to go on a Thursday.:(

As you pull into the parking lot, they had the left side around the outdoor patio area blocked off so only jeeps could park there. I am not sure if it will be the same this time or what time they block it off, but our family is going to get there a little earlier to grab a bite to eat first.
Thanks to everyone that came out tonight. My family and I had fun tonight and my daughter loved going around asking if people were a member of Military Jeepers.
Sadly, this will be the last one that I attend with the family, but I hope people continue to go and hang out with other jeepers. MY wife will try to make it to each one, but will probably be in her truck as I trust it more than the jeep when she is hauling the kids around and I am not here to help if needed. not enough weekends left to wheel. Would have been nice, but they gave us a timeframe like "you could leave the anytime between the x and x of july". I cannot even remember which days exactly, I just know it is about 2 weeks out.
4th of july this weekend, last minute chores around the house next weekend to make sure everything is ready and then it is just the waiting game after that.

After seeing the jeep, I finally got the "hybrid" joke. you did have a lot of people looking at your jeep all wondering the same thing when you drove in. :beer: It was good to meet you guys.

i was fortunate enough to meet miljeep and chat with him for 30 minutes or so. i had a great time at the event. my wife and son and i were packin up to leave just before they called out more names on the raffle and my name was called just before i closed the jeep door and i won a shirt. how about that?! lol i've never one from a raffle before.
