I thought that this veteran deserved to be honored. At the time of his death, Manuel Curry, 84, a veteran of the Normandy invasion, was believed to be the longest-serving active-duty police officer in the country. He was a SGT in the New Orleans P.D., and was a police officer for 63 years. Think of the dedication it took for that many years of public service!

Aside from that distinction, his home was burgled hours after he passed away. The POS's have been aprehended.
