I have heard about the trip AUG 7-9 for wftw. I have also read up about Jason and how he is tryin to go to all the events and is short on money. I wish had money to spare but I really don’t but I would like to try to get a couple of people together a couple times to do an event to raise money to help with the WFTF.
If any body has any ideas what we could do I am all ears. The only thing I have though of so far was:
1. Car wash's
2. Maybe take the jeeps to a public place with a Polaroid camera and let kids take Pics with jeeps for donations
3. Just Sit at local Places and ask for donations.

does the winner get anymoney from the mudrace?

basically how it works is the driver's pay a $ amount to drive in a class and can be in as many classes as there vehicle can meet the requirements for who ever drives the fastest through the 150' long mud pit wins that class and wins a prize so 1 person could in theory win all the classes his vehicle competes in if it is a bad ass enough vehicle

all the $ paid by the drivers goes in to a pot per class and the $ is split between the top 3-4 drivers of each class.

lots of family fun lots of horsepower and also the smell of alcohol fuel in the air from some of the big boys.

if you all wanted to set up a booth selling things to raise money that's fine or if you wanted to set up a booth with a donation bucket that's fine (bring the MJ banner so we can set it up also) there is 24 acres of park so we have plenty of room to set up anything that you could possibly want to do :D just let me know if you will be coming and how much room you want and i will get you the spot you need

Could i do something like Charge $10 and take people though the mud in my jeep during breaks to help raise money?

brian613
06-16-2009, 13:52
no but you can run your jeep in the mud.

the reason is theirs not much of a break only time the mud stops flying is when the kids get to run through the mud

brown90

how do i enter the mud run?

brian613
06-16-2009, 15:44
you show up that morning go to sign up and the tech inspectors will look over your jeep to see what classes that it can meet and then with the list of available classes you choose what classes you want to enter in.

I'll get a flier with all the info posted this evening

if you all do decide to come down and set something up i need a 100% list of names as to who will be coming with you (including significant other but don't need the kids names) so i can leave it at the gate so i can get you all in for free :D otherwise if you just show up and say hey im with so and so there gonna say and your point is its $$ to get in..lol

the drivers registration starts june 27th from 8 to 11 races start at 12

Guys are we interested in doing something at the Mud Event? I am still recovering from the S&S event and I have a ton of maint to get done on my jeep. I have started buying parts. I have to do brakes, some front end work, and Hopefully get some axles shafts in soon

brian613

you guys don't have to come down and do anything i just wanted to give the option to come down and set something up for free(where there is gonna be a whole lot of people) to help get some money for WFTW with all the time i have rapped up in the mud run's and building the park its about the only thing i can do to help for a while

and if you don't wanna come down to this one there's another one scheduled for next month and the invite is open for that one also.

or another idea just get some people who wanna come and bring the MJ banner and a donation bucket set up the banner and the bucket and watch the mud run and see if people donate.. no booth required and with all the military people in my area your bound to get at least 1 person..lol

from Ft Wood take I-44 east to exit 179 turn right off the highway onto T highway and follow it about 1-1 1/2 miles and you will come into newburg keep on T highway till you go all the way through town and reach the RxR tracks and you will see the mudrun area. if you still cant find it stop at Blues Market (you cant miss it its the big brick building on the right side of the street next to the RxR tracks) and ask how to get to the mud pit
