I am thinking of putting that truck bed liner stuff in my jeep. Some say that it not only makes it easier to keep clean, but also that it quiets down the ride a little. It seems a little expensive to have a shop do it, so I am going to knock it out myself. Anyone have any tips? Oh, it is a wrangler.

I did mine with the 100 bucket at Autozone. Feel free to ask questions. The arduous process is prepping, and waiting to put more coats on. Do you have a warm place to do it? Make sure you mix the can. We didn't for the first coat because it said don't shake, so we didn't do anything. Just stir. We didn't go all out with ripping everything out, just plugs and stuff that needs to go in and out. Just Herculined everything else.

I Herculined my Jeep about two years ago and until this day it is still looking good, other that being a little faded :). Out of ll the mods on my Jeep, Herculining the interior is one of my favorites. Easy clean up after a long day on the trails, just hose it off and let it dry.

I used herculiner, any wear under your heel by the skinny pedal?

Nope! I used a set of those plastic formats to prevent wear and tear of the liner.

I considered the same but never did it. Shame on me. I'll do that to the truck I'm about to do the inside of the cab plus bed.
I think I may do mine once the weather gets nicer. It does seem that all the cool kids are doing it.

Definitely a nice plus in mine. My jeep got a lot louder though once I ripped that carpet out.

I appreciate all the responses. I think that I am going to go with the herculiner.
that's a good way to do it if your on a budget but if your not go spray in.
it lasts way longer and its less of a head ache I wish I could go that route but i'm always on a budget

This is one of those arguments that noone wins. I prefer roll on.
there is no contest roll on is like a rattle can paint job compared to a pro paint job, yeah you can make the roll on look good but the quaility is just not the same,

I didn't know we were talking pro spray on. Sure if you wanna fork out the cash to have someone spray it on, I would. But if your just looking to throw some on and not really care too much if it's perfectly layered etc, then roll it on yourself.

I've heard alot that the black Herculiner fades. I used grey Herc for mine and it still looks good two+ years later. Plus it doesnt absorb the sun and burn your skin. Ditto on the cheap floor mats to protect the heel area.

I just did my door sills with some of the rattle can bedliner. I used Duplicolor. I guess I'll see how it does.

I used the rattle can stuff on the front part of the tub goes. Mine didn't last long because I used it on the floorboards....

The Herc-U-Liner rolls on great, and lasts. It can also be sprayed with a siphon type gun (cost under $20)
I rolled Herc on the bottom of my tub 2 summers ago, still holding up great. No wear even on the door sill's, where my boot rides all summer.
I just did my front fenders and inside of the tub last week, looks great.
It also takes paint really well, the paint will keep it from fading to gray.
