Well we figured a while back we were doing 2 or more. So yes I copied and next we will put out a date poll

I voted for MOAB. Either way it is a drive for me, might as well make it fun!

07-21-2009, 08:33
i went with moab due to closer proximity to me

I voted Moab because just driving through Utah is half the fun. Utah has to be one of the most scenic drives I have ever taken (as long as you stay off the freeway). Hopefully I will be back in the states for this one.

MOAB is winning guys. Looks like Camp MJ Mid America 2010 may be MOAB

I'm torn between Moab and SMORR. Both are a drive for me, but I voted Moab, becuase it's awsome, and has something for everyone!

I have always wanted to go to MOAB, it would be a great trip.

only 11 votes????
can you re open the poll and maybe get some more people to vote??

08-05-2009, 16:49
I second that notion, can you reopen the voting?

I'm gonna have to say Moab as well. It's just that much closer. Plus, we may have an inside man to help out with this trip.

im down with moab as well due to that its closer

i could only make one trip to moab, and i plan on going to ejs, so when is this one going to be?

I really do not think you want to go to Moab with the MJ for the EJS. It is just very busy. I have been, and I enjoyed it a lot (spendy though).

I would personally vote for Moab as well. Also, if anyone needs any info on Moab, or help finding a place, let me know.

The Lazy Lizard is a Hostel there, and they are really great (price wise) so if you are looking to stay on a budget check that out...

In fact... If folks were interested in going in together, They have a house that you can rent the entire thing, and put in as many people as you want. Just remember that it is a hostel, and thus they have a lot of donated items (like beds and sheets). It is clean, but nothing near new... my wife and I stay there for $26 per night. Also there IS a camp ground that will give you FREE stay if you are Active Duty, or Reserves. (Sorry no IRR or retired folks on that deal) I can find the place again if anyone wants info.

SO when is the big date going to be??? I will be there for sure if at all possible!

I just thought of something...

The week immediately following EJS tends to be a good time to go wheeling. I believe they have a big Corvette thing that week. Thus no one on the trails. Plus those who want to go early for the EJS and stay late for Camp MJ would have the best of both...

Nice ideas. I still have to see the way that this whole deployment thing works out.
