Thought it was pretty cool so I though I'd pass it along. Right now we have 78 people registered as beinig in Colorado Springs (to include Ft Carson, and the USAF Academy). And there are 103 (not counting Mrs Trailsnail) registered as being in Colorado. Kinda makes you wonder about the one's that haven't shown their faces yet.

I've been hitting up the veteran community. Everytime I find somebody that used to be in the service with a Jeep I tell them about the website. I left stickers with Crazy Ed to advertise and I'm pretty tight with Predator too. I don't, however, know anybody down at Avenger or Tanner. Steve is making some cards and when he finishes, I'll get a jpeg image from him and start distributing. Also, we need to get out to Peterson AFB and recruit. With Ken deployed, I don't anybody there right now.

Your right. Any ideas of a good place for a meeting? If this meeting would just be people hanging out, or if this time we would actually talk about what people would like out of the club.

also a good question. we cant keep answering questions with better questions nothing will get solved lol. possible ideas off of the top of my head are (for moneys sake to keep it cheap or free) meet at a public park at a gazebo or something like that. there are some nice ones down by carson on 85/87 or maybe someone could get the hook up on like a room or hall of some sort.

What about Bear Creek park. BBQ and the kidos can play. and even we could do some football or something like that.

BBQ sounds like an excelent idea. Where is bear creek park? Start planning now for say, September 13th or 14th? Sometime early afternoon (that way it can be before kiddy's have to sleep, and not conflict with people that like church. I can PM everyone that I found on the forum as members and that far out maybe more people will come. Possibly even talk a little chapter stuff before food is served. It can be a BYOB, BYOF type of thing. And depending on what time this happens, possibly a little wheeling. I should also be on R&R, Ken (irishassass) & Nick (cavjeeper) will be back. What does eveyone think?

Bear Creek Park is a good area. Palmer Park on Maizeland and Academy also has gazebos that can be reserved and there is a playground and dog park right there also. And being next to Academy, it would draw a lot of attention for the club if there's a bunch of Jeeps lined up. The September date sounds good. I'm sure I can drag my family out then.

Yah, that's the words I was looking for I don't know if anyone understood BYOF, lol. Ok so which park, Palmer or Bear Creek? The thought of more visibility isn't a bad idea at all. I don't know either of them, so i'll leave it up to others. I'll place it in the calendar, and start working something up (flyer like).

I'm up for either place as I've been to both. And at one time, Ryan was talking about making us a banner.

This sounds like a great idea. We seem to have more people talking about this than any other post on here. I think planning it far enough away is great. Hopefully we can get a good turn out. I'm up for wherever you guys want. I too think the visibility idea is great.
