OK yes you can bring your dogs but you need to make sure they have all their shots and they have their paperwork. You can only ship 1 car by the military and if you want the other 1 over here you will have to pay for it. Most of the housing over here is ok. Myself I am married to a greman and we own our house. Up by where you are going to be at there is a 4X4 park in Kassel. What else will you like to know

Jeep world I am just starting out over here so I dont Know much. The rest , It depends on what you like to do and if you like to travel. Myself I like castles and WW2 stuff so I alot to do over here. You can drive for about 4 to 6 hours in any direction and be in another country. X-mas over here is really nice it is not so commercialized. Watch out for the glowine ( hot wine) its really good but sneaks up on you. Tell me some things you are looking for and I will see if I can help.

my german wife would dis agree but i tend to skip the trails and just run over the local german population here. you need at least 3 inches of lift and decent tires but its do able. seriously though germany is great when the weather is good and heidleberg is nice i have dogs so in the summer i throw em in the jeep and go hit the local lakes and bring a little grill with me. for more info on where your going goto the SITES website and get a packet on heidleberg and it should give you a general idea of what to expect and if you have anything specific your looking for just pm me
