I had some skyjacker shocks which were pretty good. They only ran like 39 bucks each. I just got the Rubicon Express monotube shocks and will find out how they work tomorrow
I am looking at replacing all four on my YJ.
I don't do a whole lot of wheeling and the most dirt that it has seen so far is the hunting areas at Belvoir.
Which do you guys use/recommend?

I just put on a set of Rancho 9000s. THey wre a bit spendy but so far I love 'em. I don't do alot of wheeling but I like the fact that I can adjust them to suit whatever I need them for.
Did you get the in cab remote adjuster? Link.
That's nuts.
I think I am going to go with the Skyjacker ones.
Are they a pain to install?

I bought some and installed them at the end of October and then got the new ones with the lift. I sold the 4 of them for 50 bucks to a guy that helped me do the lift install. I could have hooked ya up if you needed them two weeks ago.
No, they were not hard to install. If you do them at the auto shop on Belvoir, there are plenty of people around that can help. One guys at the auto shop (kevin) seems to help us out with the wrenching stuff quite a bit.
When you are going to do them, just post up and if I am available I will be there.
Oh, check for coupons and stuff when you go to buy them. JCwhitney runs 20% off a lot, 4WD will give you a 10% discount for being military and some say that Quadratec will do the same.
Story of my life, day late and a dollar short.
It will be about another month before I go get them. I am trying o keep the balance between my jeep and my other baby (67 Mustang) in harmony right now. Between those two things and 3 rug rats, it's hectic.
As soon as I get them I will let you know to see if you are going o be around. I will be at the shop in a week or so as soon as I get my lights. I will let you in case you're going to be there. Thanks for the info on where to buy.

Naw...I got a sweet deal on the shocks though. One of our parts suppliers where I worked really hooked me up. I thought about the in cab adjuster, but decided not to.
