Default Slip Yoke Eliminator (SYE) kit

Ok, so I just bought a rough country 6" suspension kit, and a SYE kit and CV shaft.

Am I going to be able to throw this SYE kit on myself, or am I gonna need to get a pro to do this for me?

I have done several SYEs...and they are simple...just follow the instructions to the letter.

    Brother I have no clue.
How long does it take you to split a cord of wood? LOL
I can do an SYE in about an hour and a half to 2 hours, but I don't have a clue how you are with a wrench.

It normally takes us about an hour to install a SYE. Like Jeff said, just take your time and follow the instructions. IIRC the AA SYE kit comes with great instructions that include a lot of pics.

Gotcha that's what I was looking for. I personally don't know shit about it. But I've got a mess of buddies that do. I was just hoping that it wouldn't take an entire day, I'm kinda hoping that we can get started early and get this lift thrown on in a day. Maybe that's shooting for the moon though.

if your buddies are truly knowledgeable and not blowing smoke, I would plan 5-6 hours so you have some wiggle room.

2-3 guys with wrenches and some know-how can do this in a couple hours easy.

barring any hiccups. and it is a Jeep, so there will be at least 1-2 hiccups.

Yeah, one of my buddies has installed half a dozen lifts in the last 2 months. I just talked to him this morning about it. He said he's done one before and it won't be a big deal, just add a bunch of time to the job, which we're both kind of excited about, since we haven't got a lot to do while we're waiting for our schools.
