Default Proud owner of my first jeep!

Hey all, im new here, did my intro last week, jeepless .
I now own my very first jeep, a 1999 Grand Cherokee Laredo. has the 4.0 and 4x4. 140k on the od. I went through it top to bottom, the thing is in mint condition.

She's bone stock now, but ill have some minor mods done shortly. lift/tires etc. Any suggestions what to do first on a budget?

Skid plates - armor underneath. Also make sure you've got safety gear and tow hooks. Safety gear - fire extinguisher, first aid kit, snatch strap, etc.
If you don't have decent front and rear recovery hooks, going wheeling is going to be a one-time experience. If you don't get yourself stuck, you ain't wheeling!
Congrats on your Jeep. It's a great thing, this hole in the wallet called "Jeep".

armor is there such thing as to much maybe but it just depends on how much you care about the body. Regardless of what kind of wheeling you do armor is yo friend and a winch dont be that guy thats holding the group back because he is always needing to get pulled out its just basic recovery gear thats all.

    Welcome!

Take your time, do your homework and decide what you want to do with it ultimately - then prioritize and go from there.

sounds like BS, I know..... just be smart about your money and spend it once by doing it right the first time.

    Cheers!

doing lift and rims/tires first, i definetly need tires that can roll through the sugarsand. armor after the lift and tires.

Took her out lastnight and did some "mild" wheeling. i was definetly impressed. only needed to pop her into 4wd a few times due to the sand, but it was fun. had my front bumper pop out on the passenger side due to a mudhole. easy trail fix. and she looked good with a little mud thrown on her. Too bad we had a monsoon of a rainstorm this morning

my first mod is definetly going to be a www.militaryjeepers.com sticker for the back window!
