i've sewn my rear window before and it didn't hold up all that well...it's at the zipper on the left side where the zipper is attached to the window. get's a lot of use so I think I wore it out myself. a combination of the two might not be a bad idea.

I would have to say both. I've tried sewing a small tear along one of my windows and wasn't very successful. If you have an unpholstery shop near by I would give them a try. If not sew it up as best you can and seal it up with the goo.

    Default Top Repair

Look for a tarp repair shop in your area. The kind of shop that repairs tarps for the semi trucks. They will sew it and back it up with another piece of fabric and seal it. You will have to remove the top from the jeep and take it in.

Exactly. One of my best friends had a tear all the way through on the front at a critical stop. Had it repaired like above and he has not had a problem.

The bravest of all Spartans was Dienekes. It is said that on the eve of battle, he was told by a native of Trachis that “the Persian archers were so numerous that, when they fire their volleys, the mass of arrows will block out the sun.”

Dienekes, however, quite undaunted by this prospect, remarked with a laugh, “Good. Then we’ll fight in the shade!”

I took mine to a boat canvas shop. They fixed it and reinforced all the seams for less than $100. Should also be plenty of sail shops in your area.

I recommend having it sewn at an upholstery shop as mentioned before but then you can ALSO get a tent repair kit. There is a waterproof patch thing that you can put on over/under (check the directions) the stitched area to keep any rain out, and further re-enforce the area.
