    Ok guys heres the next noob question what does the term high pinion mean?
    And what is the difference between a front dana 30 for a 92 wrangler and an 03 tj?

    if you look at the differential, the pinion is the thing that sticks out in the back that the drive shaft is attached to.
    If it's high pinion, it sits higher up. This allows for better pinion angles lifting your vehicle since you won't have to rotate the axle as much to keep the pinion in line with the t-case output.

    High pinion also helps keep the yoke/u-joint/driveshaft out of the rocks

    You can replace a low pinion with a high pinion, and vice-versa. (complete axle)

    What you can't do, is use the R&P from one into the other, as high piniuons are 'reverse cut'.

    The difference between a '92 Dana 30 and a '03 Dana 30 is the 92 is vacuum actuated. The 03 30 is not. When you engage the 4 wheel drive with the 92 axle vacuum pressure is sent to it which engages a shift fork in the housing engaging the shafts. An easy fix for this is to get a TJ passenger shaft and new seal then replace the passenger shaft with the TJ shaft and seal. Or you can get this http://www.quadratec.com/products/52435_01.htm
