    Default Metalic noise

been getting a metal sound thud from the front end once in a while, especially when I turn the wheel and the jeep isnt moving or sharp turns. Have noticed that a seal on the front track bar (under pitman arm) is blown, it really sounds like something needs to be lubed but I cant find the lube points. And advise would be great

I'm assuming you're talking about the bushing at the pitman arm.... that would be the draglink. If that's shot, start there and replace it. If the thud's gone... great! If not, start inspecting everything else that moves when you turn the steering wheel. Draglink at the tie rod, tie rod ends, track bar, etc. Have someone turn the steering wheel back and forth while the tires are on the ground and look for play in any of the tre's. Next thing to look at would be the axle shaft u joints.
Do you notice any vibrations, delayed steering, shakes, bumps, etc while driving?

There are a number of lube points on the stock suspension.... if I can find the graphic of them I'll post it up.

    Edit:
Here ya go.... Marine proof'd so anyone can do it.

That's for the stock steering. Even if you have an aftermarket steering, the grease points should be the same.
If you have an aftermarket suspension, the added grease points will be on each end of your control arms.
If the noise occurs while stopped and turning the wheel, chances are it's your steering.. not the suspension.

If you have aftermarket steering or suspension, you might want to mention what you have.

Check the bushing on the passenger end of the track bar.

try putting the front end on jack stands, lock the wheel and try moving the tires back and forth by hand check for any looseness. If all is tight then unlock the wheels and slowly push them side to side by hand and check for the pop or any loosness in links.
