Default umm, help? or beyond help?

pushing about 4 weeks ago i was rear ended.
the chevy s-10 was totaled ... no front -end left, had to be towed from the site. were as we were able to drive the jeep away & make it to our destination. which was still like 5 hours drive away.

i know that i've posted the pics of it in the "post pics of your jeep" site here on MJ. but here they are again... incase some of you don't check that.

most of the damage can be "fixed" (replacing parts etc.) the body can be hammered out, i'm not worried about that too much.
but the bent frame needs some real work to get straight again & strengthened with at least some 1/4" angle iron.
if it can be fixed at all, or do ya'll think that being a unibody it can't be fixed?

if any one on here is in the Rock Hill, S. Carolina area (or able to get here for a wrenchin party) with your "tools" (welder, angle iron, what ever ya have layin around & not using).

monday the 14th i'll know more from the insurance company, and will post up.

hope this is something that can be done, the penna inspection is still good on it until next year.

I would guess unibody's are a bit more difficult to fix.
What's the kbb value for your jeep?
If the frame's bent I'd be willing to bet insurance total's it. Insurance totaled my 04 TJ because the frame was bent in my accident.

friday they had a guy come out & take pics.
said he'd let us know how much the kbb (already looked it up & in "fair" cond. about $1300-ish). he's gonna let us know what they will give us & what they can get for scrap (if we want to "buy it back" from them).

so we'll know more coem sometime tomorrow.

i know that hey will total it out due to the frame being bent. but it drove perfectly for the rest of the trip, lol.
but think she knocked a wire lose somewhere cuz it wantred to stall when we was like an hour away.

If I had to guess... they'll total it and give you the kbb value for it.
On the bright side, if you've done any mods to it, you should be able to buy it back for cheap and swap anything of value over to your next rig. Or pull the motor out for a stroker project.

When some idiot lady totaled my Blazer several years ago, insurance gave me MORE if I kept the truck. I guess so they didn't have to have it towed to a scrap yard. Then I called a local junkyard, they picked it up and paid me for it.

I've heard horror stories a bout Geico... don't know if it's a regional thing or not. They took care of me pretty well after my last accident.

Nope, I kept asking. And she kept responding the same; "No sir, we will only give you $X if we have to come pick it up. If you would like to keep the vehicle and take care of removal we will give you $X+X."

    Alright, sold!
