    Default Electric Fans

I scored a Flex a-lite dual 12" electric fan. It puts out 2500 cfm. Is that going to be enough to cool my 258 in high temp, 100+ degrees. I looked for the cfm ration of a stock mechanical fan and couldn't find a thing.

Looks like it should be perfect according to this.

That's pretty close to what I got. Mine isn't the one set up specifically for the CJ7, but the specs are the same. I can't complain about using the supposed universal brakets, since I got it for nothing.

Since you saved so much on the fan, you ought to think about dropping the 150 bucks on the variable speed controller...keeps it from running all the time and saves a TON of power...and keeps your alternator from working overtime...something to think about...leangthens the life of the fan AND the rest of your electrical system.

I just put one of those in my CJ-7 today. Pretty straight forward. I got it new, so it came with the fan regulator. You can adjust when the fan will kick on. Wish I could tell you how it will work in the really hot stuff. I put it in at a friends place, let it run for a while so I could adjust the thermostat, and then drove home, about 10 miles with no issues. But that was in the dark in 65ish degree weather.

Mine came with the adjustable controller and all. I just need to hook up some relays. Gotta love the free stuff.
