Default power secrets of the TJ 2.5L

Just wondering if anyone might have some ideas or tricks for getting more power out of this engine other then the obvious.

    So far,
Pace setter headers (I I know I might get some more HP outta other brands)
Bored out throttle body with spacer
    Cold air intake
    stage two jet chip
    electric fan
    eliminated the AC pully
    High flow cat
    Flow master muffler
reduced drive train to 5:13 gears
fuel cell with pump outta 4.0
    hood louvers

Think thats about everything that might attribute in the slightest way to HP gains or performance. I'm not looking to do any block work, but maybe better cams, injectors you know bolt on improvements.

The real project is finding a turbo diesel 4 cyl, marry it up to a 6 speed mans with a np 205 tansfer but thats going to be some serious research and work.

But I digress, any suggestions on the for mentioned question?

5:13 gears would be nice... I don't believe that you can get them... 4:88 is the best I have seen for a TJ...

You could also look for a supercharger. I had one in a 4 banger once. It was a 1.8ltr, vw that would move like a raped ape. It had 158hp and 166 ft/lb torque.

polishing a turd theory applies here, i would think. That laundry list equals some serious $$$. While another motor setup might have a higher up-front cost (depending), it'll have you save in the end I'd imagine.

to bad Mitsu. doesn't import the 2.8 turbo-D Pajero to the states, i imagine that would be an awsome swap, I had one while i was in Okinawa and it would burn 31"s like nothin, it was reliable as a brick too.

The only way you'll get 5.13 gears in is if you have D44's.
Best bet would be to sell what you have and get another with an I6
Though I'd like to put a Libby Diesel in place of my 4 banger. From what I understand it mounts using the existing motor mounts. Damn the fact that I live in NJ and no swap is available except the I6

I've got a friend that's actually been researching putting that engine in his YJ.

To the OP.... with the money you've spent trying to make your 4 cyl more powerful, you could have purchased a used 4.0l
My suggestion, find a used 4.0 with less than 100k miles on it and swap.
