remove 2 nuts (use liquid wrench or pb blaster if necessary)...remove shock...put on new shock...put on 2 nuts...repeat three more times![]()
Hey y'all, I'm gonna put in some longer shocks to fit up with the springs, havn't put in shocks in before. Got any sage advice out there on the job? Thanks! Ed

Don't cut the bands on the new ones that keep them compressed till you're ready to put them in. Something simple I should have thought of the first time I changed shocks.
if the fronts are stubborn and the top bolt won't come loose, just bend it back and forth and it will break off nicely.
Worked great when I got pissed at mine.

I like to use BFH on the front. I have never had any luck with the front wanting to loosen up.
Thanks y'all, all your points were true, it was my first shock switch out and other than the front ones being a bit of a PIA, no issues. The good news is that the upgrade worked as to solving my death-bounce. The new shocks are keeping the axels where they need to be, not bouncing all over the place...gotta love it when something you do actually fixes a problem...![]()

No kiddin. It's not too often that the first solution fixes a problem.
