Default Jeep Shimmy Shimmy Death Wobble Wobble

Soo.. with all of my mods, I guess it's expected a little shimmy shimmy happens. I noticed it was happening on bumpy things. Hm!

So I started small and balanced my tires. That made the Jeep not feel floaty like a boat and got rid of the shimmy...for a little bit.

As soon as I disconnected the sways and went a little roadin', it came back!

So... I was just seeing what everyone else has had experience with it.

Tire Pressure? What size tires are you running? Big tires on a TJ don't need all the air that small tires do. Make sure all your bushings, rod ends, etc are in good shape.

We can't forget the wheel bearings or steering stabilizer. Also, ! noticed that if the tie rod is bent at all it helps contribute to a truly magnificient death wobble!

I've been tracking it down for a while, and I've found a lot of bad/worn parts so far.
tie rod & drag link ends, axle shaft u joints, unit bearings, ball joints, balance and alignment, loose track bar. The ball joints were the definite problem and probably caused the other parts to fail prematurely.

yep, when my JK started bucking today I snuck out of work to check it out from Offroad Evolution. They found a list of loose things so they tightened them up. I have 35" Thornbirds on and they just told me to drop the psi down to 25-28, I had them at 32.
