    Default EVS Base Security System

hello all i am considering installing the EVS Base Security System mainly b/c i am doing quite a bit to skipwheat and i dont really want her unwillingly going off with someone else.

is there anyone out there who has used this or who currently has it installed on their rig, if so what do u think about it, does it give you that piece of mind feeling or am i just throwing money away on this one?

    thanks in advance

Are you rockin a TJ (from the avatar)? Auto or manual? I wouldn't waste your money on a security system. You can spend 5 bucks on a compression switch bypass for your clutch, battery disconnect, etc. Would hate to see you drop a couple hundred bucks on something you can spend the equivalent of a 6 pack

I did this to my old TJ, but can't find the write up to save my life. I'll keep digging. If you want the skinny, PM me.

Locking lug nuts, the switch that chris mentioned above and maybe tack weld one of the bolts for your more expensive items such as the winch plate so they don't walk off with your winch too easily.

i will have to wait on the locking lug nuts as i am not sure exactly what the new studs are going to be i am switching to spider 9's and 8 lugs so not sure exactly what the new threads are gonna be.

chris said he is looking for the wrtie up and i looked a little earlier its been kind of a busy day today here in the iz. but from what i can tell looks like its going to either be an ASD over ride switch or a clucth lockout override which ever i can find a good write up on.

I did the ASD switch. Works nice, I've forgot about it at times already. When the switch is off, it just cranks. While the engine is running, the switch acts like a kill switch.

For the one I did, the engine won't even crank. He can turn the key all he wants, but the ACC will be the only stuff to come on.
