    Default fan shroud rubbing?

since i lifted my jeep ive had a rubbing problem on the shroud. i trimmed it pretty good but it still hits sometimes when i make tight turns or give it too much gas i'm guessing that when the motor mounts flex a little it causes a rub and sounds horrible....anyone got any input on problems with running without the shroud at all?

check your motor mounts. It sounds like one is torn and letting the engine flex too much. You can run without your shroud, but slower speeds will cause you some heating problems.

yeah i did a 1 1/4 inch bl and didnt account for the fan clearance cause it looked good at the time and then i got on some little trails and my check engine light came on! lifted the hood and noticed the fan wasnt spinning at all so i had a hacksaw in the jeep so i cut it so that it spun free and got out of there and afterwards it only grinded a little.trimmed it more the next dayandit was good to go i thought but today i actualy drove with the radio off and heard it again so i was just thinking about removing it all together and making some kind of half shroud

If you did a body lift, you either need to put on a mm lift or clearance the shroud.

That JKS BL should have come pieces to lift the fan shroud so that it would clear.
