    USAF Belly up question

Im on the path of building my Jeep. I want to keep a low COG so Flat fenders, a belly up skid and bigger tires are in my future to get as much clearance as I can while keeping it low I guess. So here's my question....Would a 1" body lift and MML be sufficient enough to do the belly up? From what I have read I will also need a SYE. Any suggestions on what I need, good products, or help from members that have them would be appreciated. This is one thing I am not really too familiar with. Oh yea I drive an 06 TJ. Thanks!

I have an 04 Rubicon so I didn't have to worry about the SYE, but yes, you will need an SYE. I run a 1.25" body lift, 1" M.O.R.E. Bombproof motor mounts and a Jeep Medic belly up. I have never had any problem with driveline vibrations. Been running it that way since the middle of 04 and still have the factory u-joints in the rear driveshaft.
    That's my experience. YMMV.

Most Belly Ups/TT require a BL, best to do a MML at the same time. SYE is also recommended.
I'm going that route soon but in stages. I'll get what I can when I can afford it unless I find a real good bulk deal. Then take the Heep off the road to do everything in one shot.

I agree with the above about needing a SYE with those mods.

    As far as parts:

Belly skid - Jeep Medic mentioned above is a great belly skid but no longer produced. I got pretty lucky and found one on eBay a few months back. Nth Degree is probably the best one on the market.

SYE - I have the Rubicon Express on my YJ. It has worked well for me. I have no other opinions or experience on SYE's aside from that.

BL - JKS makes a 1.25" BL that stacks on top of your current body mounts. If you don't like that route go with Daystar. I do recommend going with a polyurethane mount as opposed to alumimun or reinforced nylon.

MML - Brown Dog Industries. Great company and great customer service. I have his parts on two of my Jeeps and several other guys here have his parts as well. He comes very highly recommended.

Don't forget your gonna need new a new driveshaft for the rear with that SYE so don't forget to factor that cost in.

I agree with Big Green regarding the tummy tuck! Nth degree.

I don't care much for body lifts, so I wanted to find something that did not require one. I found one on the Quadratec website for about $560 delivered. I have been asking around about this tummy tuck because according to Nth degree the kit is completely bolt on with no requirement for a body lift.

I plan on getting one after the holidays...if you haven't purchased one, I'll let you know how it works out. If you do find one....let us know what you went with, and how well the install went!

    Best of luck!

Thanks guys for all the advice! That Nth degree product looks like the one I am gunna go with. It's a little more expensive but if I don't have to buy a BL that will save me money..plus I don't really wanna put a BL on if I don't have to. I'll let ya know how everything works out!

Who you looking at? I'm waiting to see the final price for the TT & Engine skid from Rokmen. Makes it hard for me having the damn 2.5L motor.

Don't need to know what makes 'it' hard for you.

Most Engine skids are for the 4.0. Ended up with a skid Row, will be happy to finally get rid of it. Same for the TT's when I was looking a few years back.
