    Default Been a long road....

As we all know, a Jeep build is rarely done Here's some of the many pics, links and other stuff from my CJ7 build.

I bought the CJ in '97, after returning from Kuwait. I paid $300 for it, but it was a real basket case! Here you can see the axles and frame, the tub is under the tarp, and the tranny, Tcase and fenders are in the shed nearby.

The motor was shot, so I installed a 350 sbc and did a spring over. Drove it like that for 2 years, and rebuilt the SR4 tranny 3 times!

In '01, I got serious about fixing it up. Did a really nice resto-mod on it, keeping it a "CJ".

Came out great, but I should have used a clearcoat! The paint turned more black as time went on.

Since then, I joined the North Shore Wheelers, a local club here. And learned more about wheeling

And the Jeep underwent some more changes!

Went to 33" tires, built a full cage, built some flat fenders and so on.

It's still a CJ7! I didn't want to make a tube buggy or truggy out of it, and I'm very happy with how it wheels.

Future plans include a new rear differential, either a D44 or a ford 9", but that's about it.

    Cage:

    Fenders:

If you're really bored, or just like checking out CJ7 builds, here's some links to my pics!

    Enjoy! HB

My new laptop crashed, and now that I dusted off my old one, I found a bunch of the build pics! So I figured I should post 'em here.

They've been posted on a few forums, but with so many new people here, and a lot of new CJ's, I figured I'd better do something!

Ha! I'm still looking for the pics from the first build, back in '98!

Will have to scan them to post, as back then digital cameras and computers were out of my price range

The Jeep came out GREAT! I love seeing old Jeeps come back to life and get saved from the crusher.

The first pic is funny! The dog is going WTF is this?

Kinda like my wife when she first saw the MJ LOL.

Thanks! Tony, the guy I bought it from, was planning on rebuilding it, but the city (Killeen, TX) was going to start fining him for to many vehicles!

Tony had everything bagged/boxed and labeled, so re assembly wasn't bad.

Funny thing about that dog, it's a White Shepard. I had one of it's pup's when I was in TX. 12 years later and I now have another White Shepard!
