    Default D20 Gearing?

Does anyone else besides TeraLow (Teraflex) make gearing for the D20 Transfer Case? I was hoping JB Fab did but I don't see anything on their site?

I can't remember anyone (I would trust) besides Tera or JB. That's one of the reasons I swapped tc (upgraded to D300 and added twinstick ) when I installed my NP435. The 2.62 from the D300 was/is nice with the 6.69 granny, so if I decide to go with deeper gears (from JB) I will have 4 to 1 low vs 3.15 for the D20.

Ya the only problem with that is the NOVAK adapter will cost as much as my first born to swap a D300 to my T-18.

I am pretty sure Tera is the only one.

Yeah it wasn't cheap for the adpater kit for my rig, and I also installed a Centerforce clutch (another great upgrade).

Sorry for giving you bad info the other night when I was picking up your CJ. I thought for sure JB Conversions made a low range gearset for your D20. I did find a thread on the 'net that describes making your own low range set with junkyard parts. I'm not sure how strong or reliable it would be.

I'll do some digging and see what I can find out.

    Rob,

No biggy at all......I'm going to do some searching to see if anyone has a Novak adapter for sale and if I can get my hands on a D300....then I'll be set. As I mentioned, the TC is last on my list of things to update.

Thanks for taking time out of your vacation to come get my Jeep...your reputation thus far is spot on with the comments made about you. You're a stand up guy.

I was going to go that route, but you only gain up to 2.46 to 1, not worth it in my book. IF you can find the D18 gears in the jy, or aftermarket it'll still be spendy.

The reliability will be the same strenght as a stock D20.

I hope you guys have a Very Merry Christmas!!

    Later, T.J.
