Built 30 front end swap done

Well, after 15,000 miles my OEM 30 is 'outta there. I ended up bending my knuckles and weakening up my ball joints till they vibrated badly. Bond @ Outlaw Offroad dusted off a stock Dana 30 he had laying in the back destined for a dumpster and offered it up to me. To prevent past mistakes from happening again I had Bond weld on Poly Performance's sleeve kit and their knuckle kit along with a front lower control arm skid plate kit. I brought it home and got to work. Six hours later the front end swap was done and I'm ready to go wheeling this weekend! For less than $750 I now have a sturdier front end than a factory 40 and hope to make this work till I can throw some 60's under it.

thats a fairly beefed 30, heres one i ran awhile back. ended up ripping the ball joints out of the axle knuckles.

IMO its all a waste I have never even heard of a D30 breaking or bending before the shafts, UJoint, or R&P give out forst

His upper and lower parts of the knuckle are enforced

Where this one the truss ties into just the lower knuckle

And meade the coice to put the truss on the bottom of the axle loses some ground clearance
