    Default drive shaft question

i was watching trucks! on spike tv today and they were wheeling a xj they had built up. they mentioned they were using a denny's drive shaft (http://www.dennysdriveshaft.com/c43_jeep.html) i was wondering if anyone has ever heard of or used them? we all know about tom woods shafts and i have heard carolina drive line spoke of fondly on the forum. was just curious cuz these dont look bad and they arent that expensive.

a driveshaft is a driveshaft until you start going 4340/4130 tubing, tig welded yokes, and cryo'd parts. i have never seen a driveshaft that was maintained and not damaged due to outside forces (rocks, hitting it on things) actually fail. i have seen numerous DC joints break, u joints fail, and tubing twist due to misuse or just general off road abuse.

i run JE REEL shafts and have never had an issue. never heard of denny's though.

A partner in crime of mine had 2 of his shafts....broke one (his fault, he came down off an outcropping and balanced on the shaft....for a short period of time) and the other is running along just fine after a lot of abuse. They make a pretty decent product from my viewpoint.

I have heard good things about them before. Some of the WE Rock guys that still have to pay for their own rigs use them too.
