CJGumby (shane) and myself took my CJ up to MVC at 0500 this morning (arrived at 0830). We prepped a lot of the jeep for the motor swap and paint job by dismantelling itWatch the build thread. Pics and stuff to come tomorrow. Awesome day, can't wait to see it.
To be done:
-Desert Tan paint inside and out (including cage)
-Lining inside
-New to me 4.2 to replace the tired ass one

Was a great day for sure. I also want to give thanks to Matt "money makes us smile"-we heard the story, Rob, and Damien. Always a great time up there and cant wait to haul my rig up for a well overdue makeover.

The 4.0 head just ran too much damn money for right now. The 4.2 was below half the price and it will just have to stay as is. It'll be carb'd again. Once this motor tanks, we'll see what's around the bend. Right now its all about dependability and preparation for the trips.
I definitely want to see the pics after it gets painted. I was thinking desert tan for mine, after I fix all the other crap that keeps breaking.
