On my 97 ZJ the ASD ( Auto Shut Down ) will keep it from firing. For some reason my ASD looses connection and jeep won't start. I switch it with the horn relay and all is fine.
Help a Dummy here
Tonight I dropped my son off at TKD, it's next to an O'Reillys parts store.
There was a YJ with the hood up, and he was cranking away, but it wasn't firing off.
Naturally, I had to stick my head in and help a fellow Jeeper
The relay that was 'clicking' and acting up, was labeled "Auto Shut Down"
Don't believe my '99 XJ has this, not positive though.
Anyway, he replaced that one (after replacing the fuel pump relay)
And he installed a new fuel pump last week.
This YJ had a 4.0.
Thanks for any info! I'm much better at the old CJ's! Spark, fuel, compression-it runs!

Those who stand in defiance of unconstitutional laws
do so out of duty, honor, oath and love of country.
