    USMC 4WP financing

Well, i've pretty much decided that I would rather spend 30 bucks a month on my jeep than on WoW, so I've been considering just opening a line of credit with 4WP to do everything I want in one bang(since i'ts been a sloooooow peice by peice build thus far). Pretty much, that includes some procomp tires/wheels, and maybe a new front bumper with winch. Paying for the parts up front is not an option for me, so I was wondering if anyone has any experience with financing with them or another company.

In-store financing is usually not a good idea. The interest rates are generally very high which will make you paying way more in the end. You should just save up and mod your Jeep as $$ allows.

4 wheel parts sucks!! I order tires/wheel combo the 31th of Jan and they still haven't arrived. I called and they give the run around about it might be shipped by Monday. That's the third time I've heard that from them in the last 2 weeks.....

If you are going to try and go the credit route to build your jeep, don't go with the in store financing. Talk to you local bank, finance company first. If you don't have any credit, there are ways to work on it, but then you will more than likely be doing things piece by piece. I bank with USAA, and use them for eveything.

doing financing for a frigging TOY is the reason that america is in the shape it is now. if you cant save up for a $1500 lift then you should prolly rethink your financial situation.

    1. 4WP blows donkey [email protected], and they will never get another dime from me.
    2. I'm not a big fan of financing anything... interest rates usually rape you and will give you remorse down the road. Especially if your jeep gets totaled and you realize you still owe money for parts you no longer have (ask me how I know).
    3. If you're going to finance, talk with your bank about a line of credit loan. I pulled out a $5k line of credit loan when I first joined the Navy (mainly to help me build credit). Interest rates are much cheaper.
    4. I would say the best bet... set up a separate savings account. Taking any extra money you have on payday, and transfer it over. Do that every pay day for a few months, then let your build begin.

I agree, 'in company' credit, or things like Pay-Pal credit are high interest.

When I wanted to finish the CJ up (the first time around) I went to my credit union.

I was able to get a 3K signature loan for it, at 6.5% (which is thier used vehicle rate)

That's much better than the 19.9%-27.9% you'll pay through 4WP.

My credit wasn't that great at the time either. I've gotten rid of all my 'plastic' except for one, and that I don't use much, and pay it off right away when I do use it.

Check out your bank or credit union, and/or save up for each mod.

I'll agree with most here, as far as store credit is concerned. The high interest will get you into a quicksand mire that you may never get out of. If you have a credit union available, just figure out how much you can afford to deduct from your pay each week, and have it deposited into a savings account. Then, when you have enough to buy what you want, pay up front. A store account is one of the fastest ways to ruin your credit rating.

As far as 4WP is concerned, I've only bought from them twice, but both times the price was right, and delivery was fast. Bought my Black Rock wheels from them, and they were here in two days.

I think some vendors will do a "lay-a-way" program, I'm pretty sure kevins offroad does, and there may be a few more out there.
