Dude that's good potential. $1200!!! the axles and motor are worth more than that. carb issues means the $20 dollar Motor craft carb needs to be re-built, or somebody can't figure out how to hook up the vacuum lines. Somebody needs to jump on this grenade. I've already been shot down. Seriously, this is easy money to lift it and sell it and make $1000. But then, you'll like it and won't be able to sell it....I may or may not be talking from personal experience. That's why the wife said NO.

how do you get that a 360 and a pair of 44's, or a AMC20HD/44 are worth $1200? not that its not worth it as a whole. what are the chances of it having a th400 and 401?

A lot of guys are paying out the nose for those around here. One could buy a rig like that and part it out, use what you need and sell the rest to fund a build. Pulling off all the emissions and goofy 80's crap leaves you with a solid engine that will put out pretty good numbers with minor tweaks. Rebuilds are cheap on those.

No that rig has an AMC 360, and 727 torque flight tranny. Basically the same 3 speed tranny, but it shifts based on throttle position. 401's don't come in the Grands. They're in older Chero's and Wagoneers. It's alos got an NP229 transfer case which is pretty stout. But I want an NP208 in mine.
