Default My RockHard rear bumper makes me.... (you know) rock hard!

It fits great, looks great, and operates perfectly. My tiny 5'2" girlfriend can open and close the gate with one finger.

I thought I'd save a few bones by going with my old Smittybilt XRC - damn was that a bad decision. The amount I spent in fuel going to and from Outlaw Offroad and Smittybilt to troubleshoot issues erased all original savings.

Should have just spent the bucks the first time around and got the better product.

Pros of RockHard rear bumper w/ carrier:
    • Finish is gorgeous
    • Welds are beefy
    • Departure angle slimmer than Smittybilt
    • Rear gate operation is child's play
    • Built in antenna mount
    • Built in high-lift jack mount

    Cons:
    • Isn't free

Now - I freely say that some of Smittybilt's products are great. I'm a huge fan of my front bumper and sliders - but their JK rear bumper and carrier need some reworking!

Looks great. I'm thinking about getting one for my LJ. One quick question, does the tire carrier rattle.

great looking bumper,...I bought the Rancho Rear bumper for my JK, mostly because it was cheap. Well, you get what you pay for. It fit like crap, the way it opens and closes is crappy, they put the pivot point in a horrible location, (the tire swing needs to be nearly fully open to open the tail gate the entire way), and I still have to re-drill, yes re-drill the whole for the tire swing retaining pin to fit down in correctly. Be glad you spent the cash and got the nice one. Ha

    Looks great

I got the same bumper two years ago, and I love it. Only trouble I had was my fault. I didn't get the bearings in straight, and had trouble with the latch. After finding the problem, It worked great. Nice HEAVY bumper, with no rattles so far.
