Sure you want a full width?

What other options does it need to have?

Some bumpers have welded on shackle mounts, some have welded through shackle mounts.

    Fog light holes? Or none?

Budget? That's probably the biggest one.

We need more specifics. Otherwise we could point you to probably 200 different bumpers.

I bought a Shrockworks for my YJ. It's super heavy duty and you couldn't pull the shackle mounts through if you wanted.

Figure out exactly what you want. Then go to the vendor section. FrankZ and BESERK custom build bumpers. FrankZ has been doing XJ's but get in contact with both and see what they have to say.

I know, key word being yet, but I thought I'd throw you a bone.

    thanks for the ideas.
i dont rock crawl with it, but i do alot of trail riding, so as far as specifics:
wide enough to protect the metal on my fenders
forward lean for approach angles and something to the effect of a stinger / grill guard
i'd prefer to have the winch plate integrated into the bumper itself, i think i mentioned it's a warn xd9i and has a 10" x 4.5" pattern.
holes for lights i can drill myself, so they'd be a plus but not really needed.
i dont want it painted, powder-coated or anything like that
like the drilling, d rings would be nice, but i dont require that either.
any other suggestions on ways to improve it are always welcome
as prices go, it would be awesome to put it together including a winch plate for less than $400, but somehow i doubt thats gonna happen.
I live in Ft Lost in the Woods, so close would be good but i dont mind shipping either.

less spectacular, i'm also looking for a rear bumper, just a simple swing away tire carrier with a jerry can mount and a hi lift mount.

i wont lie, i'd very much prefer to make it myself, but my welding skills are practically non-existent. i guess you can't win them all

Depending on trails you ride front tow/recovery points (shackles) may be required. While you may say you don't require them, definitely in this case it is better to prepare ahead.

Not that you have to buy from Quadratec but they are a good starting point for finding all kinds of gear.

    Bumpers. http://www.quadratec.com/category/Je...s/47/index.htm

This one looks pretty cool too. High up and protects your fenders and has some "protection" although I don't know well that chrome bar would hold up to anything.

Anyway, when you do find what you want let us know what you get.

FYI Quadratec offers 5% military discount. Some other places offer 10% though too.
