    USMC Axels

Good day to all, I have just arrived in Northern Va and had my Jeep inspected yesterday, I saw a leak on my rear Dana 35 pumpkin. There is a piece of rubber/plastic on the pumpkin and I am leaking fluid from it. Does anyone have a fix for this? I have looked and can replace the diff cover to one that has a screw instead of the rubber/plastic that is there now for $86.00 plus shipping and handling. Does anyone have another way of fixing it?

Can you show us a pic of the rubber/plastic piece. I can't think of what you're talking about on the pumpkin unless it is the vent tube. As far as diff covers go, Solid Axle was selling theirs for $65 + S&H. That's a very tough deal to beat, given the quality of Solid Axle.

I think what he is talking about is the fill plug. Some Dana 35's have a rubber stopper for a Fill Plug vice the screw in plug.

If that's the case and you don't feel like upgrading the axle, I would just get a Solid Diff Cover to replace it and have the armor protection of it.

We have a few vendors on here that deal with them:
Crazy4Ink - Rob runs Mountain Valley Customs out of PA
Pacifer - Diego has a dealer license on various companies and can work out deals for you. And he is out in Warrenton.
There are several around the NoVa area as well. I've always had great experiences with Adrenaline Off Road http://www.adrenalineoffroad.com/aorbeta/Welcome.html and things I've ordered through them. Jeff is out of Burtonsville, Maryland. I know I ordered the Cow's lift through him and it was cheaper through him shipped to me than it was direct from teh company.
